Welding is the process of bringing weldments to interatomic union and forming permanent joints by heat or pressure, or both. Welding processes are involved in 50% of the world'sannual steel consumption.

Welding can be divided into three main categories: fusion welding, pressure welding and brazing.

(1) Fusion Welding

The workpiece to be welded localized heating to melt, condensed to form a weld and

make the components connected together in the processing method. Including arc welding, gas welding, electroslag welding, electron beam welding, laser welding and so on.

Welding is widely used welding method, most of the mild steel, alloy steel are used

welding method welding. Special fusion welding can also weld ceramics, glass and others.

(2) Pressure Welding

Welding process must be applied pressure, may be heated to complete the welding. The main purpose of heating is to soften the metal, by applying pressure to make the metal plastic change, so that the atoms close to each other solid attraction distance, which is  essentially different from the fusion welding when the heating.

Pressure welding includes  resistance welding, friction welding, ultrasonic welding, cold pr-pressure welding, explosion welding, diffusion welding, magnetic welding. It is characterized by welding deformation is small, less cracks, easy to realize automation and so on.

(2) Brazing

Heating the material which melting point is lower than base material, then use melted b-razing material to fill the weld, wetting the base material and merging together.

Brazing is divided into two categories: hard brazing and soft brazing.

Hard brazing: heating temperature is greater than 450 ℃ and tensile strength is greater  than 200MPa, widely used in the environment with low stress and low working temperature, such as such as the tin-based brazing of electric circuit.

Soft brazing: Using materials with lower melting points, such as tin-based and lead-based ones, through capillary action, precise metal connections can be achieved. This method is suitable for electronic components, pipes and thin-walled structures. The process temperature is low, with minimal heat influence. It also has excellent sealing and conductive properties, and is widely used in precision manufacturing and microelectronic packaging fields.

At Yangzhou Tongyang Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. we understand the importance of welding technology in the manufacture of pressure vessels. Soldering, a process whereby heat or pressure (or a combination of both) is used to bring weldments together to form a permanent joint, is not only a critical step in joining metal parts, it is also the cornerstone of the quality of our products.

Welding technology is widely used:

The fact that 50% of the world's annual steel consumption involves welding highlights the indispensability of welding technology in industrial manufacturing. At Tongyang, we utilize advanced welding technology to ensure that every pressure vessel can withstand the extreme conditions of high pressure and high temperature to meet the diverse needs of our customers.

Welding classification and technological innovation:

In our manufacturing process, welding techniques are categorized into three main groups: fusion welding, pressure welding and brazing. Each welding method has its own unique advantages and applicable scenarios, and we flexibly choose the most suitable welding process according to the specific needs of the product and material properties. At the same time, we constantly explore technological innovations and are committed to improving welding efficiency and quality, and reducing problems that may arise during project execution, such as weld defects and stress concentrations.

As a professional pressure vessel manufacturer, Yangzhou Tongyang Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. has been committed to ensuring that every pressure vessel meets international standards through advanced welding technology and strict quality control for many years. We utilize internationally advanced welding processes and equipment to provide our customers with efficient, safe and durable pressure vessel solutions.
